Meet our Spotlight, one of Zimbabwe’s rising stars @kdub.1_
Kuda Mhene is a motocross rider . His journey began at the age of 4, on the smallest version of bikes called a Yamaha peewee 50cc. It was his old man who introduced him to the sport and he has not looked back.
_____________ “Here is a look at my journey. Growing up I had my personal coach @seanmitchell5 who taught me everything I needed to know, he won several championships in the States, Germany, Belgium and also won the championship for Zimbabwe. It was with KTM 50cc where my career had a huge boost, I started traveling abroad to South Africa, Kenya, Mozambique. I then moved to a KTM 65cc where I won the championship, I was leading the championship at this time. We had FIM Championships where I came 1st for the tournament and this was in 2017. During this very year, I traveled to Uganda to go and race as I had been invited as their special guest rider.
“I have broken countless bones in my body, probably up to 12 bones in my body just from motocross. It’s not a easy sport and the best thing that this sport has taught me is that when you fall, get up and keep going, never give up and to fight till the very last minute until you see the finish flag.”
