Meet one of our hosts Nandipha Mabusa.
As of right now Nandi is doing a one year placement at one of the largest multinational tech companies in the world. Working as a resource management analyst on an elite account, Nandi has already had the honour of meeting two execs from the headquarters in America and is currently one of the social secretaries of the UK BAME network.
Currently studying International Business at Loughborough University, Nandi has been proactive in preparing for corporate life by being in the first cycle of HerCapital Associates in 2017. HerCapital is a one year leadership programme run by SEO London which aims at ‘filling the confidence gap’ experienced by females in the financial services industry. From this, Nandi was afforded the opportunity to network with industry leaders and attend professional workshops early on in her career which has certainly helped Nandi to navigate her early professional life. ‘In Hindsight, I would not have had the confidence to apply to do a spring week at one of the world’s largest investment bank earlier on this year and convert that into a summer internship in 2020!’
_______________ “Whilst learning in Bulawayo, I was passionate about giving back to the community and was an Honourable Junior Councillor for the Bulawayo Junior City Council in my last year of high school. My philanthropy does not end there and my mantra will always be that, it’s all about who comes after us… so currently my friends and I are in the process of launching an initiative to help young people who are looking to learn in the UK, to have all the resources to make informed decisions.’
I can’t wait to share my experiences and advice as well as to keep you posted on Usasare Connections and what we’re all about.
