As a filmmaker from Zimbabwe I am constantly Inspired by the rich array of talent in my home country. Despite the extreme economic challenges that every Zimbabwean artist faces, we see extraordinary individuals who have been able persevere with their crafts and enrich or lives with their art.
At Obscura Films our guiding philosophy is grounded in the human spirit, giving shape to experience and existence through the power of visual story-telling. One of our major goals is to contribute to the growth and expansion of the arts in Zimbabwe. We feel compelled to tell African stories and to document and share the talent that we have with the world.
________
My personal goals are to keep on evolving and experimenting so that I am able to grow as an individual as well as a filmmaker. I hope to share my knowledge and passion with aspiring Cinematographers in Zimbabwe, because I believe that through education we can change our own narratives in Zimbabwe.
