“I’m an artist and I’m sensitive about my shit”
Meet our Spotlight and our very own Women Crush this week Tadiwa Taremba. Tadiie as she is more commonly known is a Zimbabwean born artist who’s passion for music is well articulated in her versatile composition style. She is a rising star who is
vibrant, sensational and unique.
Full of laughter and positive energy her music is birthed through her own character. Tadiie grew up in a traditional African home where choice was a battle. Do you make yourself happy or become the family pride with a university degree and a prestigious occupation?. To meet parental expectations she went on to study at York University. Studying was great, but the internal conflict was greater – suffocating her first love and ignoring her desires like a bad habit.
Although academic excellence was a major priority music was a friend indeed. Regardless of her ability to silence the harmony of her heart, music never gave up on Tadii. When she had questions, music was the answer. When she had tribulations, music was the resolution and when she felt joy, music was the celebration.
Tadii has recorded and released her music on platforms, such as Apple Music ,Spotify and Soundcloud. She is quickly grabbing the attention of local artists who acknowledge she is becoming a force to be reckoned with. She has features with @hxgofourszns , @sam.r__ , @fromthec.i.v and @theonly_erin .All of whom have been mesmerized by her diverse talent. Her live performances across Toronto have captured the audiences and left them wanting more.
This young African artist is producing melodies and lyrics that will blow your mind. Her voice is unmatched and her commitment is unwavering. She is in the studio currently working on debut album and second single “Tonight”.
