Meet our Host Producer Takura Moyo, professionally known as Beatsmith was born in Mutare, Zimbabwe. His music interest started as early as a toddler beating pots and pans at home. At the age of 13 he volunteered to playthe drums for church in Johannesburg. After moving back to Zimbabwe, he completed Highschool at Peterhouse where he was part of the school orchestra, Jazz band & Wind Band.
2015 marks the year Beatsmith decided his niche in music would be producing. Prior to that he has started beat-making at the age of 16. His passion for music outweighed his interest in law and so he dedicated his time and efforts to his budding music career.

African), Lil Def (South African), Drew the MC (Zimbabwean), Hanna (Empawa 100, Tallracks Records, Zimbabwean), Union 5 (Empawa 100-Final 10, Zimbabwean) among others.

competition as a producer, not an artist. He not only made the Top 100 but also the Final 10. When he is not in the studio, Beatsmith travels in and around South
Africa performing at universities, clubs and events.
