Meet our Spotlight @thatguytich .Tich is a hospitality professional and a passionate aesthete as well. The last born of 4 children, Tich went to North Park primary and then Gateway High. After high school he went to the International Hotel School in Cape Town to study hospitality management.
“My sister and I are small business owners. Due to COVID-19 we closed up shop I’ve been focusing more on the work I do in the creative space, which is what I’m more popularly known for (modelling, presenting, emceeing, fashion and fitness).
I started off modelling in Zimbabwe. The first show I took part in and walked the runway was at the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA).After that I did Zim Fashion Week, where I joined a line-up of other models who modelled outfits celebrating the now late Oliver Mutukudzi’s career. Highlighting his music and his contribution to the arts over the years.
*TV & Radio*
I did a brief stint at ZiFM radio before I went over to TV and joined ZBC, as one of the host for the popular 90s music and entertainment show “Coke On The Beat” that was being re-introduced.
*Room 4 Doubt*
In 2016 my friends and I started a YouTube talk show called “Room 4 Doubt”. Where on each episode we’d invite different people to join us on camera as we talked about issues that mattered to us & affected us the youth living in Zimbabwe.
At the South African Menswear Week, I modelled for Chu Suwannapha, ALC Man and League of Rebels. After Menswear Week I signed with an agency in South Africa and got into commercial modelling. I have featured in commercials for brands like KFC, Castle Free, Opera Mini and Tanqueray’s Fleur De Sevilla.
Fashion and style is another interest of mine. Style is essential. It’s an art, a form of expression.Apart from styling myself and taking the odd elevator snap of my OOTD, I style people (upon request). Be it for a shoot or for an occasion.
I’m also part of several groups online with progressive, intellectual, and creative individuals all with a desire to express and share their art, not just with other Zimbabweans, but with the world.
