Meet our Spotlight Ashler Jaya who is better known as The Mixologist. She is a content creator , a recipe creator.
“I went to The Swiss Hotel School in Johannesburg. After I graduation I decided to travel and get a better understanding of the world. I have work experience in Zim, SA, Seychelles, China and USA. I found my love for mixology in uni but China pushed me to be creative when it came to beverages. A Fun fact is that I was qualified as a chef first. Before I started mixology full time I used to do finger foods for small events.”
Mixology has been a Mobile bar service provider for any kind of events (parties, bbqs, baby showers, Church functions bridal, bachelorettes, bachelors, drink up, brunches, luncheons, corporate functions.
“I do not only focus on cocktails but we make beverages for any kind of event our clients want us to I have worked with Churches and I have also done teenage events and Kiddies parties.I also provide an extra service of setting up different bars and set ups that go with functions according to our clients. I can source the bars and provide the accessories needed depending on the event.
My advice to young Zimbabweans is Just start, start with what you have from there work on improving yourself and your craft. Do not compare yourself to anyone run your own race.
