“It’s beyond having faith. Actively pursue your goals and never forget why you started.”
Meet our Spotlight Rungano Nyamayedenga! The founder of @paper__pieces .
Rungano has an academic background in Gender Studies where she has been able to work at Tererai Trent International @tereraitrent and in Business Administration with a focus on communication and strategic planning in the Human Capital Development industry. Integrating the two the areas, Rungano is curious to learn and implement activities that address gender parities.
In October 2018, Rungano founded Paper Pieces @paper__pieces (I just wanted to make airtime money tbh 😩). Paper Pieces is now a sustainable jewellery brand that up-cycles paper to design handmade earrings in support of small businesses being environmentally conscious.
In addition, she is part of the executive team for the Creatives Tribe @creativestribe.zw which is a networking platform that discovers, fosters and exhibits the work of passionate female creatives.
“Be kind to one another because you don’t know what people are going through and lastly, don’t underestimate the role of the people in your network. If it weren’t for the people I have connected with encouraging me and seeing value in what I have to offer, I probably would not have been able to achieve what I have so far.”
