Elizabeth Banda is a public speaker, Founder of @twintalkstimepodcast@Forbes Under 30 Scholar, and forex investor who is currently based in Independence, Kansas and will be moving to New York this fall. In New York, Liz will be attending one of the nation’s top private research universities, the University of Rochester- on an academic scholarship and financial aid award.

Driven by the word ‘daring’, Liz aims to empower and inspire students by documenting and sharing her untraditional educational journey. Despite the unpredictability and difficulties of life, She emphasizes the importance of independent self-direction and engaging in opportunities outside the classroom to leverage all your talents.

In high school, Liz was involved in several activities and held numerous leadership positions. Her highlights include competing in the All-Africa Games and World Goju Championships as the National Karate Team captain, advocating for sustainable development with the 25 May Movement, featuring on radio networks ZIFM Stereo and Star FM alongside numerous newspaper articles. She also was selected as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student and traveled over 26 states in the USA.

In 2018, she began her journey as the first Zimbabwean international student at Independence Community College. She was an active member of her campus community with experiences initiating an elementary school volunteer program and job shadowing experience at Wilson Medical Clinic and Advanced Physical Therapy. She led as Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Vice President, was a Keynote Speaker at colleges International Flag Day ceremony, and selected as an Up to Us Campaign Leader.

She has attended numerous conferences that have led her to be Forte Foundation Rising Star, Forbes Under 30 Scholar, and a member of the 2020 Duke University DPT Summer Discovery Program. Her hard work also earned her a scholarship from her college to attend the Forbes Summit with all expenses paid. She has also spoken at over 15 speaking engageme.
