“Ex-Fide Fiducia” – From Faith Comes Confidence is the mantra Karabo ‘Kay-b’ Manala lives by.
Born in Harare, Zimbabwe- Karabo is a leader, a visionary and a young man hungry for success as he achieves whatever he sets his mind to. Professionally as an accountant with a Zambian accounting firm and director of a Hygiene and Cleaning services company based in Harare, navigating the business world in tandem with pursuing his career is a challenge he relishes in.
“When we started our aim was to increase the awareness of living a hygienic lifestyle. Kill Germs! Stay Clean! Smell Good! That’s what we believed in as a company, and with the first project of distributing scented hand sanitizers as well as other cleaning products to various communities, we managed to generate a substantial amount of revenue to go into our second project. Trash-It was the long-awaited project that got us switching up the game and venturing into new territory. Trash-It was established in March 2020 amid all the Covid-19 mayhem, however we remained steadfast and our immense faith and grit saw us through the storm.”
Clean Works ZW as a hygiene product distribution line, has since formed a cleaning services arm, “Trash-It” which is centred around recycling and refuse collection. Trash-It aims to promote efficient refuse disposal and encourage a culture of recycling through leading community clean up drives. At the fore we continue working with various companies in and around Harare to create awareness on responsible consumption. Since its inception, Clean Works ZW has played a pivotal role in ensuring the timeous distribution of hygiene products and services in the wake of the 2018 Cholera outbreak in Zimbabwe, and the novel corona virus pandemic in 2019/2020.
Karabo strives daily to better himself and in so doing, making a difference in creating a sustainable world. He is excited about the business as he has learnt a plethora of lessons and is yet to learn more about becoming a refined business mogul. “I can, and I will”, says Karabo.
