“To find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others & Service is the very purpose of my life”
Meet our Spotlight @kundai_m_ Kundai Makonese, the 22-year-old Founder and CEO of Faith Foundation a Zimbabwean non-profit organization and A Masters in Development Studies student.
Growing up much fortunate than a lot of people I believed I had a role to play in using all I had to help advance the lives of others. irls are experiencing every day and realised that I have the capacity to do something about it and drive change. I began by going to orphanages and donating toys and food to the children there. Slowly this passion and love for people grew and started to do more activities for more vulnerable groups. With the help of generous friends and family I have been able to grow my vision of bringing hope to the despaired.
Faith Foundation (FF) is a registered charity founded in January 2015 and registered in May 2019. We seek to serve the needs of vulnerable groups through the use of targeted interventions. Our target beneficiaries are girls and women who are homeless, orphans, youth and from low-income households in high density and peri-rural areas. Our two main focus areas for our beneficiaries fall under the umbrella of Empowerment/Education and Food relief. The organization is governed by a board of trustees and run by the executive director and a management committee.
As a non-profit organization in order to keep costs low we rely heavily on donations and sponsorship from individuals and companies.
As an organisation we are looking forward to capacitating vulnerable girls and women all over Zimbabwe through opening skills training centres, community outreaches and developing sustainable interventions that target their specific needs.
As for myself I am excited for the journey ahead and to live everyday doing what I love.
